The Members of The Fantastic Four

The Fantastic Four

There are four members of The Fantastic Four crime-fighting group! Those four members are as follows!

  • Mr. Fantastic
  • The Thing
  • Invisible Woman
  • The Human Torch

Mr. Fantastic

Mr. Fantastic, also known as Reed Richards, takes on the leadership role in the group and is known for being a super-genius long before becoming a member of The Fantastic Four. He is a master in mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering. Also, chemistry, physics, and biology. He is in love with a fellow member, Invisible Woman. Who he eventually married! Which was one of the most significant events in Marvel Comics back in the day. The wedding of Reed Richards and Sue Storm. With many heroes from the Marvel Universe in attendance!

Mr. Fantastic can stretch to incredible lengths and mold his body into whatever shape he deems necessary! With the help of his mind and his superpowers, he builds amazing tools to help the world and his team fight evil!

The Invisible Woman

Introducing Susan Storm! Or, as the world knows her, The Invisible Woman! Susan takes sort of the mom role out of the four members of the Fantastic Four. Keeping her wild brother in check and keeping the group focused on the task at hand!

The Invisible Woman was, in fact, the very first female superhero making her first appearance in 1961s The Fantastic Four #1 written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Jack Kirby! She can make herself and other objects/beings invisible! She can also create force fields!

The Thing

Before taking on the superhero name The Thing, he was Benjamin Grimm. Ben Grimm was a tremendous street fighter growing up, eventually meeting and becoming best friends with the one and only Reed Richards! After a very successful football career in high school, Ben got a full scholarship and attended Empire State University with Reed and their future enemy Victor Von Doom. Ben Grimm eventually became the man who piloted the rocket into space on the mission that gave the Fantastic Four their powers!

The Thing has super strength, durability, and stamina! Along with his history in street fighting, he becomes a very formidable superhero!

The Human Torch

The fourth and final member, The Human Torch! Also known as Johnny Storm! He is the younger brother of Invisible Woman. Using the famous words, Flame On! Johnny goes from an ordinary-looking man to be on fire from head to toe! Being the youngest, he gets himself into some trouble which his older sister Susan has to reel him back in. Johnny can create fire and control any nearby fire! He can wait and the hottest temperatures and can generate fire as hot as the temperature of the sun!

Human Torch frequently teams up with your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man due to them being the same age! I remembered years ago, in a game called

Speaking of Spider-Man, if you’re excited about the new Spider-Man No Way Home movie to be released December 17, 2021, click here to see our trailer breakdown and reaction!

How The Fantastic Four Got Their Powers!

On a scientific mission into space, the station they were on was hit with a cloud of cosmic rays. Mutating the ones on board, including Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm, and Victor Von Doom, eventually becoming one of their most powerful super-villain known as Doctor Doom.

What to Expect From The Fantastic Four In The MCU

In the comics, The Fantastic Four has encountered Kang The Conqueror many times! Kang is a descendant of both Reed Richards and Doctor Doom! So, I believe they will play a HUGE role in the big fight against Kang The Conqueror! Although there has not been much said on what the plot will be in this phase 4 project, there have been rumors that Doctor Doom will be the villain in Black Panther 2! Which is set to be released in the summer of 2022. What are your theories? Let me know in the comment section! Will Doctor Doom be the big bad guy in Wakanda Forever? Will The Fantastic Four face off against Kang The Conqueror?
