What Spider-Man means to me!

Today’s post is very exciting! The long-awaited Spider-Man No Way Home trailer #1 just dropped! And I could not be more excited! I mean, the moment the trailer dropped, I stopped everything I was doing to watch it! And when I did, I got CHILLS! I’m beyond excited for this one because Spider-Man has always been my favorite since I was a young lad. I’m talking about wearing a Spider-Man suit daily, yes daily. The Toby Maguire was the Spider-Man I grew up on, with also the 90s animated series! I would watch each episode and movie religiously! If you love Spider-Man as much as I do, leave a comment sharing your own experience! But enough of that, let’s get right into this BREAKDOWN!

How I Will Break It Down

I know, I know, GET ON WITH IT! Yup, I hear you! I want to tell you exactly how I’m breaking it down. If you don’t care, slide on right past this to wear the breakdown officially begins! Okay, so, when I break something down, I watch it multiple times, watch it in .25 speed to get every minor detail, then proceed to break it down for you in second by second! Now that that is out of the way, LETS GET INTO THIS TRAILER

Public Enemy #1

In the trailer’s opening scene, Peter Parker and his girlfriend Mj or Michelle Jones layout on a roof as Mj reads articles on potential Spider-Man powers. Including one that Mj makes a joke about, in which Spider-Man has the ability to hypnotize females. Laughing along, Peter says, “Can we stay up here all day? It’s crazy down there.”

If you don’t remember, in the previous film, Spider-Man Far From Home, in the end, credit scene Quinton Beck aka Mysterio, reveals to the entire world the identity of Spider-Man!

So from that point on, the world has been pretty crazy for Peter, to say the least…

I Can’t Take It Anymore!

In the next scene, Spider-Man is swinging through New York City, holding on to his beloved Mj as he swings past a billboard promoting his face and identity! That damn J. Jonah Jameson at it again!

Can we all agree that J K Simmons is PERFECT for his role as J. Jonah Jameson? If you think so, leave a comment down below, and for those big fans out there, tell me your favorite scene from the original Toby Maguire Spider-Man movies involving Spider-Man’s #1 hater by leaving a comment!

Peter is interrogated by a couple of detectives and denies that he killed the manipulative and pure EVIL Mysterio! Who the cops and everyone else in the world believed to be one of the best superheroes.

We later see Mj and Peter FaceTiming in bed as Mj asks if there’s any part of him that is relieved by everything going on. Not having to keep any secrets about his identity. Peter responds, “For the record, I never wanted to lie to you.”

With everything going on in the world as the burden that Peter has being labeled “public enemy” has fallen on many of his closest friends and family, including Ned and Aunt May. He decides something has to change!

In Need of a Little Magic

Peter enters the Sanctum Sanctorum where Doctor Strange is waiting for him like he already knew he would be coming for a favor. The Sanctum is covered in snow like it’s Antarctica! Now I have no idea why this is the case to my knowledge there was never a point in the comics where this has taken place so your guess is as good as mine! I have seen theories discussing that in this clip, it isn’t Doctor Strange but the infamous Mephisto, the one and only marvel universe being that we have heard countless theories throughout the WandaVision series

When someone mentions another Mephisto theory.

Although when I first watched the trailer, Doctor Strange did seem somewhat different or odd to me, we can’t all immediately assume “ITS MEPHISTO.” Although in the comics, Spider-Man visits Mephisto and asks him to make everyone forget he’s Spider-Man, so I guess we shall see!

Leave a comment for your theory, and if you think it’s Mephisto 🤔

Spider-Man explains his situation with Strange and asks to do a spell to make everyone forget he’s Spider-Man. His loyal assistant Wong says do not do the spell as he leaves the sanctum through a portal.

Strange says, “Fine, I won’t,” winking to Peter.

As Strange begins the spell, he states, “The entire world is about to forget your Spider-Man.” Peter jumps in, worried that Mj and his best friend Ned will forget too, pleading that they can keep the memory of him being Spider-Man. Doctor Strange tells Peter to stop interfering with the spell, and then suddenly, the spell seems to be too much for Doctor Strange to contain as it falls apart!

“Hello Peter Parker”

After tampering with the stability of space and time, the walls around them are destroyed! In the next scene, we see Spider-Man swinging around New York as the city begins to bend as they do while in the mirror dimension showed in Doctor strange.

Flashing through multiple scenes, we see Spider-Man wearing his Iron-Spider suit as Doctor Strange says to Peter, the problem is he’s trying to live multiple lives, then Strange punches Spidey in the chest, pushing out his Astro form.

We see Happy Hogan with a terrified look on his face, and a bolt of electricity through some black smoke appear, most likely being Electro!

Then THIS IS IT the moment I got CHILLS!

We hear the terrifying and satisfying laugh of the original Green Goblin played by Willem Dafoe as the classic goblin grenade rolls on the street! WOOHOO, this was amazing, and I’m still getting amped up!

YES

Leave a comment about how this moment made you feel! When you realized Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin was in the movie!

In the final scene of this breathtaking “Somebody hold me up cause I can’t handle it” trailer, we hear the voice of Doctor Strange say, “Be careful what you wish for.”

Just a side note, Doctor Strange is being an a**hole putting all the blame on Peter, lol!

Back to the trailer, Doctor Strange says, “Be careful what you wish for.” We see a Doc Ock arm shoot up into the air, smashing through the bridge bringing into the scene the man himself, Doctor Octopus played by the exceptional Alfred Molina. This was another OMG moment making me feel like a baby!

Dr. Otto Octavius says, “Hello, Peter.” With that confident smile on his face. As Spider-Man equips his Iron-Spider suit…
